HINTHAM – ‘s-HERTOGENBOSCH – THE NETHERLANDS

Unveiled in 2008, Hinthamer Bekooring is a public commission by the city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch. It is located in the center of a roundabout surrounded by apartments and a small shopping area in Hintham Zuid, a neighborhood in the eastern part of ‘s-Hertogenbosch. The piece consists of a table construction (300 cm/10 feet high) made of galvanized steel and 30 ceramic parts. “Bekooring” is an Old Dutch word for temptation and is in reference to the painting, TheTemptation of Saint details, colors and theme also relate to this painting.
